The 3rd General Membership Meeting of the HHHB BWA, presided over by President Florence Wasai, was held after the 10:00 a.m. service in the Hondo. Included in the agenda were the Minister’s Report by Rev. Hagio, BWA committee reports, and updates of upcoming BWA events such as the HUBWA Joint Education/General Membership Meeting: “Reach Out – Make Connections” on October 15th at Hawaii Betsuin.
At 9:00a.m., prior to the 10:00 a.m. service, the BWA invited the Betsuin Sangha to view t he PBS Insights vid eo, “Life as a Muslim in Hawaii” in the social hall. Attendees listened to a panel discuss common misconceptions about the Islamic faith and Muslims. The Muslim discussants shared what they believe and practice.
