  Buddhist Temple on Maui. Rev. Kerry was born and raised in Los Angeles 
 and graduated with both BA and MBA degrees from the University of Southe
 rn California. Rev. Kiyohara was tokudo ordained in 2016. He then attend
 ed and graduated from Chuo Bukkyo Gakuin Seminary in Kyoto and was certi
 fied as a kyōshi teacher in the Jōdo Shinshū Hongwanji tradition in 2
 018. He previously worked as CEO\, COO\, CMO\, consultant\, and copywrit
 er in the advertising agency business and helped launch start-up venture
