Hoonko is a major Jodo Shinshu service in which we commemorate the passing of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Shin Buddhism.

Dharma Dialogue with Bishop Matsumoto Follows

Following the service and a short break, those who would like to join Bishop Matsumoto for dialogue are invited to come to the Betsuin lounge. Those on Zoom for the service may stay in the same Zoom meeting to join the dialogue, since it will be “hybrid” (in person and via Zoom). Bishop will say a bit at the beginning of the dialogue session then we’ll open it up for informal dialogue.
