Please join us in this annual interfaith gathering to honor Queen Lili‘uokalani’s legacy of justice and nonviolence. The event will also include a tribute to the queen’s friend, Mary Mikahala Foster, a benefactor of Honpa Hongwanji in Hawaii. This will be the first time Hawaii Betsuin has hosted the service.

A note on the calligraphy: “Unwavering Heart” (Yu Rugi Nai Kokoro), by Hiromi Peterson. The term was chosen by Rimban Yuika Hasebe to represent Queen Lili‘uokalani’s character in leadership.
