Ho’onko is the observance of Shinran Shonin’s (Founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism) memorial service.  It is traditional for Hongwanji temples to observe an otaiya or evening service in observance of Ho’onko.  Guest speaker for the evening service will be Bishop Eric Matsumoto, Bishop of the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin.  Service will begin at 7:00 pm in the main temple.
