In February, Buddhist Women’s Associations worldwide solicit donations for locally selected organizations. The 2024 collection runs February 3 to March 3.
Our Honolulu United BWA supports nonprofit organizations that benefit youth, women, or elderly. The Dana Award is $1,000 per year for three years, with the exception of Project Dana, which is awarded $2,000 as our Perpetual Awardee.
2023 Recipients*
Project Dana (perpetual awardee)
Adult Friends for Youth (3rd year)
We Are Oceania (2nd year)

Also in 2023, a onetime award of $1000 each was given to Genki Ala Wai Project, Kids Hurt Too, Mai Movement, and Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies.
