Bodhi Day commemorates Siddhartha Gautama’s attainment of enlightenment at the age of 35 as he meditated
under the bodhi tree, thus becoming Sakyamuni Buddha.

The Hawaii Buddhist Council sponsors a Bodhi Day service on Sunday, December
7, 2014 at 9:00 AM at Nichiren Mission of Hawaii, located at 33 Pulelehua
Way, Honolulu, HI 96817. Please join this once-a-year, wonderful gathering
of Buddhists from the various Buddhist sects in our community.
