About the Green Team

The Hawaii Betsuin Green Team is an informal temple group that advances green-themed projects and programs at our temple, including Earth Day Service with guest speaker, Green Fair, and BYO-CUPs (Bring Your Own Cup, Utensils, Plate).

Meeting Details

This meeting in the Social Hall is set for 12 p.m. on the Sunday of the Ho’onko Service. The timing is intended to allow those participating in dialogue with Bishop Matsumoto after the service as well as a Dharma School party to still attend the Green Team meeting.

To discuss:

• Planning for our Green Fair (scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
• Earth Day Service check-in (scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 10 a.m.)
• BYO-CUPs 2020 and related (e.g., polystyrene phaseout etc.)
• Tree planting opportunities
• Other / announcements
