Interfaith Community Townhall & Iftar Dinner to Be Held at Hawai‘i Betsuin on April 2, 2024
Honpa Hongwanji Hawai’i Betsuin will be the host site for an “Interfaith Community Town Hall & Iftar Dinner” on Tuesday, April 2 from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. HST, hosted by ACLU of Hawai’i. The Iftar meal marks the end of a day of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, observed by our Muslim ohana.
The Town Hall forum will begin with interfaith leaders discussing the spiritual significance of fasting and explaining how people of faith are called to civically engage and to provide support for our most vulnerable neighbors.
All community members, including partners, families, children, elderly, etc. are welcome to join, but RSVP is required. The event will be limited to 200 guests. Please RSVP on the event web page by Thursday, March 28.
