Kūpuna Spelling Bee coming to the Hawaii Betsuin Social Hall on October 26!
What’s that buzz you hear? It’s talk of a senior spelling bee coming up Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin! It’s put on by Kiwanis Division 22.
The statewide competition is open to all Hawai’i residents 60 years or older.
Net proceeds from this annual event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
There will be prizes: First place is 50,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles, $2,000, and roundtrip airfare for two.
Think about it… the Betsuin sangha has some top-notch spellers! 😃
