About the Speaker and Seminar

Rev. Cristina MoonRev. Cristina Moon is a technologist, potter, and ordained priest in the Chozen-ji line of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. She is the co-founder of Pythia, a community
intelligence platform to increase the community benefits of clean energy projects, and a graduate of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where she was a MSx Sloan Fellow.

Cristina published Three Years on the Great Mountain: A Memoir of Zen and Fearlessness with Shambhala Publications in 2024 about her first three years living and training at Daihonzan Chozen-ji, a Zen temple and martial arts dojo at the back of Kalihi Valley. She is a resident of Maunalani Heights, and continues to teach ceramics and train in zazen, Chado, and boxing at Chozen-ji.
