The Betsuin welcomes Reverend Toyokazu Hagio, who began his service as our Fukurimban (assistant chief minister) on February 1 and gave the dharma talk at the February 16 English-language service. Four members of the Hawaii Betsuin Ministers’ Lay Assistant program received certificates from Bishop Eric Matsumoto after the Shinran Shonin Memorial Service on January 11, 2014. They are Dexter Mar, Nannette Ganotisi, Wayne Y. Yoshioka and Alan K. Kubota. The four assistants are already active in the temple’s Buddhist Education and Dharma School programs. Read […]
