Hawaii Betsuin is pleased to host a new venue opportunity for local small businesses in conjunction with the 2023 Hongwanji Spring Bazaar: a popup arts and craft sale in the Lounge! The popup will be open during the hours of bazaar — Sunday, March 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The popup sales are based on originally created art and objects from local creators. We’re excited to see what each participant will be sharing. Please come and support them as they support the temple’s bazaar!
Artists include:
- Mizmatched Star – Jasmine Apana
- Our Garden Collective – Keri Kubota
- HiKekai – Baylee Kekai Jackson
- Naomi 703 – Naomi Shishido
- 3 Girls’ Closet – Jacee Yoshimura
- WELO Customs – Megan Lee
- Kumaseam – Koki Atcheson
- Individual creators – Lee Hoomalu, Dawn Pak, Jihoo Kim
Each link goes to an artist’s Instagram presence or website.
Also available in the Artist Popup Lounge will be Hawaii Forest Institute’s “GO NATIVE!” plant books and our own Betsuin-produced cookbook series, “Favorite Island Cookery.”
Note: Scrip will not be used to purchase items from the Artist Popup Lounge.
See you there!
