The Hawaii Betsuin Dharma School is preparing to reopen, with the first service of the new school year set for September 11 at 9 a.m. Registration is now open.

Registration
Families may register online via a Google form or fill out and return a PDF registration form.

Dharma School services will generally be held in person in the Annex Temple on Sundays at 9 a.m., with the exception of the third Sunday of the month.

On third Sundays, families are invited to join a hybrid (in person and Zoom) service at 9:30 a.m. Following a short message geared to the Dharma School sangha, Dharma School students and families may be excused to participate in activities while others remain for the adult message and continuation of the service. The first such “combined” hybrid service will be the Autumn Higan Major Service with guest speaker Rev. LaVerne Sasaki on September 18.

Dharma School leaders are seeking students of any age to serve as emcees and to read aspirations during Dharma School services. This can be a great way to get practice with public speaking skills!
