Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin welcomes all to our Eitaikyo Service known as the Sangha Memorial Service. The Eitaikyo services are held to pay respect and show our sincere appreciation to our members who passed away.
For over 125 years, Hawaii Betsuin has provided a place for members to listen to the Dharma. Millions of people have come to this temple to pay respect to Amida. They were able to gather because of the numerous departed members’ untiring support, sacrifices, and effort to protect this temple. Please join this solemn appreciation Eitaikyo service.
