On January 20, 2014, the Hawaii Federation of Buddhist Women’s Associations participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade from Ala Moana Beach Park to Kapiolani Park. They were joined by students from Pacific Buddhist Academy and ministers, members, and friends of Hongwanji temples. Participants wore purple shirts, passed out colorful origami cranes, and carried beautiful “Share Peace” signs.
