Chef Paul Onishi gave a talk and demo on plant-based cooking at Hawaii Betsuin on October 27, 2019. The event built on sangha members’ interests in healthful and climate-friendly diets. Chef Paul was one of the demo chefs at the recent VegFest Oahu 2019, at which Hongwanji hosted a “Peace Day Lounge” tent. Paul’s demo dish at both VegFest Oahu and Hawaii Betsuin was vegan loco moco.
