Honpa Hongwanji had a presence at the 4th annual VegFest Oahu on Peace Day, September 21, 2019. Here is Hongwanji’s “Peace Day Lounge” tent. Activities included crane folding by Windward Buddhist Temple and peace aspirations on leaves for the Peace Tree by Pacific Buddhist Academy. Hawaii Betsuin helped with overall coordination for the Peace Day Lounge, a project of the Honolulu Hongwanji Council with support from the Peace Day Committee, Social Concerns Committee, and Monshinto Task Force.
